At Last.... some reasonable sized surf! But it was choppy and blown out....
but we were desperate to catch a wave of some substance so we started
paddling out!
After about 40 mins of paddling we realised that towards the back were some
OKish waves! So..... we carried on! Finally we reached the back of the line
up and we were FAR out... almost towards to end of the peninsula that
creaps around to Croyde bay!
We caught loads of waves, the rides were short lived, but the waves were so
so steep that we could build enough speed to do a bottom turn and pop off
the top of them.
All in all a great days "adventure"... then about half a mile out to sea we
realised we had 30 mins to get in the pub for the England Match..... oh how
we rushed!.... and we made it in time for the national anthem! Hoorah....
and we won!
